I am using a Mi Box, and have Kodi 16.1 installed. Kodi 17 was recently released. I would like to stop my Kodi install from auto-updating to the latest version. Is there a way to do this without turning off auto-updates for everything?

What if you were to download and sideload it from kodi.tv? I don't think sideloaded apps will update automatically.
Go to the Google Play store. Press the three bars at the top left, then select "My Apps & Games".
Pick the app that you want to stop the auto-updates for, press the three dots at the top right of the app's page and untick the box that says "Auto-Update".
Just turn off all updates and manually update as you need other apps.
