Can I play all the Android phone games via play store if all I need is a USB gamepad/mouse plugged into my Mi Box?

you may need to sideload it if not natively available in the Android TV store. also, it must be compatible with the dpad

Not all games are available on Android TV through the play store. Sometimes because of obvious reasons (cut the rope without swipe controls is just not the same), sometimes for less obvious reasons (I'd love to play broken sword 2 on my tv, but its not available for Android TV, even though perfectly playable with a mouse plugged in my mi box). On the other hand, sometimes games do not have mouse or gamepad support implemented. In some cases it's possible games are installable through play store, but aren't playable due to lack of control-options.

In this specific case I have no idea. Just try to buy and install. You can cancel your order within 30 minutes if it doesn't work like you expected.

Not all games are compatible to run with a joystick, I found that out when trying to play a few games which work on touch controls on the screen (like on a tablet or smartphone). if the developer didnt make it to be compatible with gamepads then short answer is no. But I welcome anyone who knows a work around this.

Any game that is playable with a controller or mouse will be playable on Android TV. The thing is not all games are on the Android TV Play Store, but you can always sideload them.
