I picked up a new LG 4k smart tv with webOS 3.0. It has a netflix app and an amazon prime at built in. But I need something to play MKV and quicktime files off sometimes. I know the Nvidia shield is highly regarded but I feel like thats probably overkill for my needs? Whats a cheap but quality option for me?
Probably shield. Your 4k options right now are Shield or MiBox. But MiBox is weak on 4k even though it is "capable"
Edit: there's a direct TV box...But I don't know if it is 4k
