I have a mi box, and the remote has voice control over the play store. Anyone know if it's possible to set this voice control up to kodi so I can search quicker there? thanks!

SPMC or there's also some Kodi-helper app you can install. I forget the name offhand, but you can probably find it on Google Play. It works the same way SPMC does it, by using the web remote feature as a bridge, so both Kodi and the helper app need to be running for it to work.
why would you want to use kodi if you already have android TV ... O_o
Use the kodi fork called SPMC. It is specifically developed for android. It has voice search integration.
