I would also love to know this. Guess you could sideload the Android APK - but you'd need to use a mouse or airmouse?
I have DirecTV tablet version installed on my Nexus 7, then I send the APK file to my ShieldTV over the x-plore file manager app wifi server function. Install the apk in x-plore and then run from the ShieldTV settings>downloaded apps section or a sideload launcher or create your own leanback launcher icon. Works great for me!
