So, since yesterday my youtube app decided that it never loads videos anymore, just endlessly trying to buffer them and then "connection to server lost".
What I did to fix this:
- factory reset
- reinstalled app
- deleted cache in app\youtube + app\google play service while it was disconnected from the internet
- modified my wifi connection so it runs from 8.8.8.8 DNS
- tried cable connection, same problem
- other applications work perfectly (netflix, twitch)
- youtube works from the builtin browser in the TV
- youtube works on everything else (two pc, three mobile phones all android)
- force stopped app and cleared cache everywhere else too
- there are no updates nor anything happened to the TV
- it's always "Connection to server lost"
My internet connection works perfectly, same to my router. Only the god damn youtubeapp on my tv is what doing this and I have no idea why. I got no adblock installed or anything like that.
Odd thing: It can't load new videos, but sometimes can load old (like 5th months) videos. Rarely loads new videos (2017 jan\feb) and plays them. Or just loads a tiny bit then goes "connection lost to server".
I live in germany, Kabel Deutchland internet, tv is a Sony KDL-50W755C. Latest firmware and everything. Anyone knows what is the problem or how can I fix this? Thanks in advance!
I feel you bro Android tv app sucks Been trying to watch videos but returns me to the home screen just after the start of a video
