Bravia KD-55XD8599 Issues

When I say issues, I mean A LOT of issues. Not sure if it's down to Android TV or Sony being useless but here we go:

  1. I have a Sonos Playbar connected to the TV. During setup you use the built in IR receiver on the Playbar to allow control with your TV remote. Problem is now every time you adjust volume you get a "TV Volume is fixed" toast notification which I cannot work out how to get rid of.

  2. Google cast doesn't work when using a wired connection. Works fine on Wi-Fi.

  3. Kind of a follow up from number two but the TV cannot connect to any network devices or media servers when using a wired connection. Again this works over Wi-Fi.

Is that an issue with the playbar?

In order for cast to work, both devices have to be on the same network. Sounds like wifi and wired are different networks.

Make sure they are on the same network and or provide details of apps you are using and network setup.
