Question about android tv on pc

by naifs_br10

Im looking for a easy guide to follow and get Android TV on PC.

Is there something that can teach me and demonstrate this as well as help me troubleshoot what not.

Thanks

Honestly I think you're better off considering a USA model Mi box or Nvidia Shield.

If you want to look into turning a PC into a HTPC then look into Kodi.

I think this is the most up to date tutorial for it

should get it working as a direct OS install or vmware, but note its super buggy and HDMI audio does not work.

Really its no more than a proof of concept, i wouldnt recommend actually using it on a media center pc or anything.

There have been instances where AndroidTV has been partially ported to X86 hardware. None have been successful in providing even minimal functionality, lacking the correct graphics drivers andDRM licenses. Chromecast, functioning Netflix and adaptive storage have been major fails.

BlueStacks + HAL launcher?

It's possible to do this using the Android SDK and built-in emulator but I wouldn't recommend doing it. It's technical and involved and I highly doubt it would work with any type of remote. What's your use case?
