Live Channels App pauses and stutters since new update

Since upgrading to the new Live Channels version and incorporating the network runner for the DVR feature, the TV stutters after approximately 6 seconds of watching live TV, no matter the channel. Has anyone else experienced this pause/stutter found a fix?

I get the occasional pauses in audio for a brief second or two but it otherwise is working okay. My issue is that the time shifting causes my 16 gig Shield to quickly run out of storage.

half of the channels on pluto tv seem to break for for me. they'll play a clip, then their own transition clip, then just freeze until i change the channel.
