I'm wondering if anyone has gotten videos with AAC 5.1 audio to play correctly through a receiver? My Mibox is connected directly to my receiver via HDMI and can play DTS/DD in 5.1 just fine.. but anything encoded in AAC 5.1 will play in PCM 2.0 no matter what combinations of settings I try using SPMC, Kodi 17, VLC etc.
Has anyone had luck with this or can maybe shed more light on the situation with AAC audio format?
what player are you using? i know that aac/ac3 works in VLC.
If you are using the plex app, search "mibox" in/plex. you'll see there is a issue with ac3, Dolby, etc..
