People reported that the HDMI-CEC was too aggressive and changing inputs on them unexpectedly (happened to my parents, too), so I think they scaled this back if not turned it off altogether for right now.
Do Mi Box updates trigger automatically or do they have to be pushed? I've never noticed an auto-update and wonder if I have to grab it from somewhere.
Pressing the circle/home button, waiting a few seconds, then pressing it again usually turns on my TV and switches inputs
