Shield TV Harmony profile updated - OK now works in the Amazon app (Check others)

There was an earlier discussion and a number of workarounds for some problems with the Harmony remote and the OK button not functioning in several apps.

I received a reply to my support ticket with Logitech this morning that they updated the Shield TV profile. I can confirm that the OK button now works in the Amazon app. If others could try the other apps listed in the "Problem apps" section of the above post we might be able to finally call this irritating one solved and get rid of the kludgy workarounds. I followed these steps which are mostly the same as listed on their website :

  • Delete Shield device and activity from phone app and let remotes/hub sync
  • Add a new device, choose Scan for Wi-fi Devices, and let it find and add "NVIDIA Game Console"
  • Create the new activity for the Shield

I didn't have to re-do the steps to pair the Hub with the Shield TV over Bluetooth since it still remembered the connection. Once I deleted and re-added the Shield I went straight for the Amazon app and had no problem navigating like I expected.

I can confirm Amazon is working after updating both Shield and Harmony. Best I can tell it looks like the BT profile now matches the IR profile as far as the OK button is concerned. I have updated the list, I'll reflect any other feedback there as well.

Is there a STOP option?

The nexus player profile has it but the shield one did not.

So if I have the non-hub version of a Harmony (650 I think), I would just go to the software and delete the device from my profile, then search for NVIDIA shield and re-add it as a device...?

Once we do this, anything else we should manually set for it to work perfectly w/ KODI?
