MiBox 4K International - WiFi performance

Hi all,

Using my MiBox 4K international to for IPTV purposes, however I feel the MiBox wifi isn't as good as it should be and could be the reason why I have buffering issues.

Stated WiFi Specs: Wi-Fi: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Dual-band Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/5GHz

My router is an ASUS DSL-AC55U. Dual band AC router.

Questions:

Is there anyone that has issues with the AC wireless?
Is there a good app to check what the connection speed is on the MiBox?

The MiBox is about 8 meters (24feet) away from the router with no walls in between.

Sideload android app 'org.zwanoo.android.speedtest.apk' If you have web browser on your box use Speedtest.net website.

What apk are you using to connect to the IPTV provider?

The most likely issue is the bandwidth from your source streams provider is less than optimum.

I am using MiBox with the same purpose connected to 5Ghz wireless modem and have no issues whatsoever. Works flawlessly!

I have ASUS RT-N66U and i get around 70Mbps on a 100Mbps connection - no connection issues at all.

Might i suggest you use a custom firmware for the router like Shibby - you'll be amazed at how much more your router can be.

the speed of the connexion between the box and the router should be written in your router interface
