PSA: The Network Tuner update for Live Channels appears to work with legacy HDHR tuners, despite SD's claim of "not supported."

My old HDHomerun Dual, to my surprise, was recognized by Live Channels and I was able to scan the tuner for transmissions. This comes as a surprise to me, because the last time I tried Silicon Dust's software was the old HDHomrun View, which only said No Devices Found. I wound up using InstaTV instead.

As long as it's a wired connection from the tuner to the router to the AndroidTV device, which it is, then it works very well. Channel switching is still slow, but faster than I've had luck with on 3rd party software like InstaTV.

The only thing not working is DVR recordings. I'm not sure if that's a designed limitation or a configuration issue. Perhaps this limitation is why they say it's "not supported." Still, it's usable for watching TV.

Anyone else have an older HDHR that's working with this update?

HDHomeRun probably uses the same protocol throughout, although if you have any issues I imagine they will not prioritize support

It keeps bugging me to set up the Network Tuner with my old HDHR3-US.

DVR is unavailable because, as I recall, the unit has to support DLNA for DVR to work.
