I have a Nexbox A95X and I use MX Player with AC3 and DTS codec imported, but sometimes I notice that some movies (.mkv format 720p or 1080p) seem to play with a very slight delay. The bitrate doesn't seem to be the correct one, and it's not the release, because it happens on different movies from different groups. I was wondering is there is a better app to play videos aside from MX Player? Thank you!
Nexbox is not Android TV. This reddit is for the five devices listed on the right side that are official Android TV boxes.
That being said, VLC or Plex (with server setup) are your best options.
