by totalchaos_1

Hello, guys. Sorry to bother you. Would you please leave the apps you must install in your smart TV in the comments? Thanks in advance!

I have a server full of TV shows and movies so Kodi is a must for me.

For everyone: Netflix, YouTube, Kodi, Pluto TV via Live Channels

For me: WWE Network, SNES emulator, ES file Explorer for roms and sideloaded apps like Mobdro, Google Music All Access ( also includes YouTube Red for no ads,) Amazon Video (Prime membership, might as well take advantage of it)

For those who have access to a cable/satellite log in via generous friends or relatives: ESPN, Fox Sports, Comedy Central, FX, MTV (for the wife)

Also get an OTA antenna for local channels.

If anyone knows of any cable or TV channel apps that work with a Direct TV or Xfinity log in that I didn't list above, I'd love to know about them. A lot of apps aren't supported by all providers but always claim to be "working on it." It's tough to stay up to date on who adds support.

PuppetMaster TV is also Live Channels compatible.

Live Channels, Plex, WOL (Wake On Lan)

Retroarch for your emulation needs.

If you have a shield, get super meat boy.

Otherwise, I'm a fan of the streaming apps (HBO, Netflix, Amazon).

All I have on mine is Youtube, Netflix, SPMC (kodi) and Spotify

Haystack TV is a good one for news and catching up with late night TV monologues.

As others have said: Netflix, Amazon, Plex and/or Kodi. I use both!
