get a VPN. Make sure you change your DNS to avoid DNS leak
Both VPN or Smart DNS services will work just fine. Make sure location is turned off inside AndroidTV settings.
Im using getflix DNS relocator and watching Sling TV-Orange here in Manila, Philippines with my Mi BOX. Works very well.
I use Sling on my Shield while in Mexico. I use VyprVPN, they even have a leanback Android VPN app so connecting and disconnecting is pretty fast and not a burden to do, speed is great, you wouldn't notice the difference. Your mileage may vary since you're not that close to the US as I am. My ping is normally below 50ms to the Austin server. Give it a try!
