So recently I can't get any sound from my Mi Box. I've tried other devices, like my XBox1, and Oppo blu ray player, and a net-top nano-pc I have, no problems. MiBox is mute, and if this isn't resolved soon, it'll be MOOT! har-har.... Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
Did you check the settings under Devices > Sounds > Digital Sounds?
Is it global or just in one app? I had a problem with Kodi muting on me because someone accidentally pressed F8 on the bluetooth keyboard
ive fixed this by switching to another input on the tv and then switching back to the mi box. it happens with chromecast too on my vizio
I'm not trying to patronize you, but have you checked Mi Box volume? It has a separate volume from the TV.
The box's volume is something people may not use, and if a glitch and it goes low, you may not realize. If not using original remote than even easier to not realize.
I don't suppose there is anything that is plugged into the Mi Box with a Microphone attached to it.
This will mute Audio Output. Your Mic Button on the remote may be stuck down.
If you can use your TV remote for GUI control. Remove the batteries from the Mi remote and reboot.
I've just worked my problem out. I was charging my PS4 controller at the same time (bluetooth) - and as soon as I disconnected the usb the sound came back on. make sure you haven't got any bluetooth devices getting charged via the usb.
Have you tried a factory reset on the device?
