Does anyone here know how to turn an android box into something similar to Chromecast.

I used to have a firestick and I was able to cast thing's such as YouTube and Netflix by tapping the simple cast button on my phone but I can't do these on my box. Maybe I could install the firestck version of these apps on my device, I'm not sure if that would work. I've tried cheap cast and that doesn't work as its outdated. Can anyone help? I have a Qbox android box. The box is rooted, if that helps. Is there a way of getting the version of YouTube that allows things to be cast to it.

Here's the link to my box

Google cast should be baked in? If your box is not android TV i think Kodi should let you do Apple Airplay.

That's not AndroidTV. Get a Shield if you can afford it, or a Mi Box if you're on a budget (I have one of each).

What box do you have?

If you really have an Android TV device then Chromecast is already built in. If you don't have it then you are not using an Android TV powered device (which is the case of the one you linked). There is no way to put Google Cast on an unsupported device.

Buy a Shield. it already does these things.

If you have an extra HDMI port, save yourself the trouble and buy a Chromecast. You can't cast to those type of boxes.
