Not sure if you've heard of or able to set up a network-wide DNS blocker like Pi-Hole that can be run on a Raspberry Pi or other system on the network that's always on. That would then be able to block ads for any device connected to the network.

AdAway if you're rooted. DNS if youre not. I think they all use the same sources for block lists so the results should be the same across all three.
