Picked a new Nvidia Shield TV about a month ago, 16gb model. I have an HDHomeRun Prime with digital cable from WOW! Live Channels updated a few weeks back and I got the DVR option but I can't record anything, literally. I have tried probably 60 channels. I get a generic error "The program cannot be recorded." I confirmed that the channels are not DRM. I also confirmed that Live Channels has all permissions (although it does crash every time I click on "additional items" in the App permissions menu) specifically storage is enabled. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.
Any ideas?
Woah someone else has WOW! Cable. You are correct about no DRM channels with them. Do you have any other storage on your Shield like an external drive? Does it let you pause and rewind Live TV? I believe recording works fine for me but I have not tried it really as I Use HDHomerun DVR. Timeshifting works for me too btw.
