Any alternatives to officiall youtube app? It is really rudamental and could be so much more. Adding videos to watch later, removing them from wl, subs as a playlist, less stutering at 4k to name a few... Thanks

I'm using the standard Android YouTube app. You need a mouse and you might want to tweak your build.prop for the DPI but it's a heck of a lot better than the Android TV YouTube app
Use your smartphone to watch videos on the TV and organize videos (like with a chromecast). That's much more comfortable than using the remote.

Better playlist management features is one suggestion I had for Google for the app. One the last update I was able to check off somethings the app didn't do or not that well.

Maybe try the YouTube addon in kodi.
Google is just not that much into Android TV. Nobody can figure out why. The Google Music app is bad, There is no YouTube Kids app, No Google Photos app. They continue to make awesome stuff and let it wither on the vine. Expecting some mythical set of partners to make it grow.
