What a bunch of assholes.

Lmao that thread is fantastic. Dr pepper is a real moron, especially for a supposed 30 year enterprise IT veteran

A simple Google search would have confirmed that you need a full HDMI chain that is HDCP 2.2 to play DRM 4K content (like Netflix).

I'm using the DRM info app.. i tried all my LCD/LED televisions and it just shows HDCP unprotected. Does this mean all my television sets are not HDCP compliant? I just need 1080p playback for the netflix app. Can I buy an HDMI splitter like the one in this article? http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Bypassing-HDCP/ will this show atleast HDCP 1.x ? Thanks

Which problem? Netflix have no problem, fix your TV

I have a HDCP 2.2 complaint TV that only outputs 4k and Netflix doest work at 4k with my Nvidia Shield.

This is a dumb question.. I apologize if it's considered /too/ off topic. Is there a way to tell if Mi-box's Netflix app will work just based on the t.v. I have? Or this only about 4k stuff?

Rogerwilc00

so its a hardware issue? some miboxes are able to work with netflix and some are not able ?

because i got one mibox with the netflix error, i tried 4 different LCD brands, 4 different hdmi cables, may factory resets and always shows HDCP unprotected.

the tablet .apk is a no go, you can´t use the remote with that app, i wish at least i could get a custom APK of netflix that works with the xiaomi remote, how come is that much to ask

stupid xiaomi brand, selling shit that doesn´t work, even the netflix logo is on the box.
