Quick question about Google Cast and MiBox

I am on my way to the store and I was going to get a Chromecast Ultra for my 4K TV, but the HDMI port that supports HDR is being used on the PS4, so it would be for 4k Only, now my TV has Netflix and Youtube already. so I would be using the Chromecast only for Crunchyroll, Funimation and maybe other cool apps I may find.

My question is this, I know that the MiBox supports google cast, do I have to have the app installed in the MiBox if I choose to cast something to the TV? or will it work just like the Chromecast in that way?

Also I just sold my apple TV and I used the remote to control the Vizio SoundBar, would the Xiamo MiBox remote do the same??

Chromecast is built into the Mi Box. It's already a system app that can't be touched.

Mi Box remote is bluetooth. So most likely it won't work for your soundbar. Get a Harmony remote to control everything.
