Hey all!
So I just got an OLED TV yesterday, my first TV with HDR. I have an Nvidia Shield TV (the new version) all up to date and everything.
I have Amazon Prime, and I have the Netflix UHD option. My question is, how do I actually FIND the HDR content?
I know which shows have HDR, and I have HDMI Deep Color on, which allows for HDR. My problem is that none of the shows have the HDR label, like they should (according to images I see of netflix for example, where it says "HDR" under the title). I have searched grand tour on amazon prime video, and only the 1080p version even shows up, but the other amazon originals dont show HDR either.
Is there a setting I need to enable on the shield to get this to work? The weirdest part is that my HDMI info from my receiver is showing that the output IS in HDR, but (besides the couple of shows that I know have HDR) I don't know what actually has the HDR feature because none of the apps have the HDR labels on the shows / movies?
Thanks
TL:DR - No streaming apps show the HDR label on shows. How do I get them to appear?
Did you make sure to set your display output on the shield to rec 2020 and not 709? Need to have that and then when you stream on Amazon you can watch the overlay and it will go from HD to HD 1080 then ultra HD and finally HDR appears in that same overlay.
