I've giving them until the end of June. I know full well that sometimes updates have problems. I fully understand when it happens, stuff gets delayed.

I'd rather have a fully working update than a buggy update that breaks everything.

I switched to the Shield TV. I just had too many problems with the Mi Box. It's clear they don't really support the box. Sure they may put Nougat on there but if you have to wait 6 more months for bug fixes, I'm not sure Nougat matters

Considering most smartphones of similar age don't have nougat either, I don't think this should be surprising or overly disappointing, tbh.

Non Google devices are always slow to update.

You are right to choose where you spend your hard earned money.

With that out of the way, I'm ok with the level of support for this product. After trying 3 Android boxes, the value and performance of this box is acceptable.

Out of curiosity, what feature of Nougat are you waiting for that will improve the Mi Box?

Does everybody just get on here to whine about updates and have no other android devices for gods sake motorola just released the nougat update last week every manufacturer has had problems with nougat even google itself(nexus phones) any delays are on Google's shoulders they over promised on the release

Well I'm waiting for the Mi box to get 24p support. Won't buy it unless it can properly handle movies.

Welcome to the world of tech. You got 16 days, relax. After that, you can scream, complain, pay $300 and repeat when Android 8 is released and you gotta wait.
