I'm new to this but can anyone tell me why it isn't working? -Have the international model from the brown box (AB) -4K subscription -HDCP 2.2 TV/Cable -selected highest resolution on my Netflix account
It's not that I can't play any movies, it's just that everything is displayed to only be available in HD if I go to the movie selection, even shows that are definitely available in 4K (like breaking bad)
In the Netflix app, you can go to settings and there is an option there called check network. From my experience 4K requires 25Mbit/sec.
Some have used speedtests on their laptop to fast.com but you also have to ensure your Mi Box can receive 25Mbit/sec from your router. Alas Wifi N (2.4Ghz) does not cut it for me so I had to upgrade my wifi router to use 5Ghz to achieve high speeds from the wifi to the mi box. Hope this helps.
Make Sure in Mi Box - Android Settings the Display Resolution is selected to 2160p60hz
