MI-Box Best Display Settings?

by NatureX2016

Hey folks, was recommended a MiBox in here few weeks ago and haven't been disappointed, thanks.

Was looking to know what you all are using for display resolution.

Reason I ask is, when watching netflix, if I leave my display settings to auto, Netflix plays at 1080p/60hz

I do have a 4k HDR TV, Samsung JS9000.

When I change the display settings to 4k/24hz on the MiBox. Netflix comes through at 3840x2160...and plays smoothly

Is there a reason the auto wouldn't detect this? Should I simply leave it at 4k?

The reason 99% of Android boxes do not Autoswitch between 1080p <---> to 2160p(4K) Resolutions when using various Apps, is the device Firmware developers have not implemented it yet.

The only device I know of that App - Auto Resolution switches is the FireTV2.

Do not confuse this with Refresh switching.

Ya, the Mi box seems to have issues detecting 4k when left in "auto". Just manually select your resolution if you want to have the Netflix 4k option.

Not sure if the Beta being tested of 7.0 is going to fix this or not.
