Mi Box and Mini Keyboard Remotes Issues?

by HeyBass

Does anybody else have the issue where cheap Chinese OEM mini keyboards aren't being recognized when you plug them into a Mi Box?

I ordered something similar to this and it isn't being recognized. I was able to plug it right into a Fire TV and my PC and it worked instantly with no issues, but not the case with my Mi Box. Any alternatives to a remote like this would be great it.

Toggle the status of your ''settings/developer options/usb debugging" opposite of its current setting.

Its not much of a stretch to say that a wifi based device will 99% be supported.

Many more vagaries pertain to bluetooth and ethernet devices

I've only ever used remotes/Air mouse from Rii, Azulle & Beemax. All the 2.4Ghz ones have been fine, but the Rii Bluetooth model wouldn't pair with either of my Mi boxes.

Android tv focuses on a 10ft experince so they make sure it works with the remote included, most of them have voice capabilities to help with input.

This is one of the things I hate about android. It's a crap shoot what device support is baked in from unit to unit. For ex I have 2 usb ethernet adapters. both work on my old crap asus memopad that's still on lollipop, but only one works on the nexus player.

Besides a typical bluetooth headset (and even there it can be shaky), I feel you can't buy any peripheral device with any assurance that it will work on your android device, even though it may work on some android devices.

Just wish you could grab the driver from device a and put it on device b.
