Sony Bravia X850d Casting Issues

I have a brand new X850d. The casting functionality was working perfectly fine until today, when it stopped working for all apps (Netflix, YouTube, Plex) except for Hulu. I did a power cycle on the TV, as well as a factory reset, and still YouTube does not cast from my phone. I can play YouTube just fine from the TV itself, but when I try to cast from my phone, it just says connecting forever and nothing happens. Any ideas?

Same model tv, Same problem, started today also. I can offer no solutions other than the satisfying comfort in knowing that you aren't alone.

I am having similar troubles. After spending 4 hours on the phone with Sony and their support acting like my situation was a unique problem I assumed it was something wrong with my TV alone.

Are you on a 5Ghz internet connection?

I solved my casting issues by disabling 5Ghz, and connecting the TV to a normal 2.4Ghz connection.

That solved it for me.
