No support for Android TV...

People relax, it does have Android TV support. While its not released yet it will be. I talked to support and they clarified that it is indeed in the works. Also if you look on the FAQ page for youtube.tv it clearly states Android TV on the list.

I casted to my Nvidia shield and later sideloaded the app on there. Seems to work fine either way

Signed up for the free trial. So far I like it a lot.. I don't think it's worth the $35 alone compared to sling.. But splitting it with my family so we'll each pay a bit...now it's worth it... I added shows today and was able to play episodes from weeks/months ago... That was fairly convenient. My personal big plus is that it includes Disney Junior so cartoons for my daughter is all day vs morning only with regular Disney (sling only offers the latter). And with DVR, it'll be unlimited cartoons. They do offer a lot of channels... But definitely need to add stuff like tbs and AMC (announced... Matter of when..)

Edit: works off my mibox as a cast device. Have had issues where the screen is black but audio was playing. 15-second rewind "woke" it up.

Honestly, I would be sold if this included YT Red....it's actually a shame that it doesn't.

Given the limited channels it seems like a crapshoot compared to PSVue.

Do we know if a YouTube TV subscription comes with YouTube red and Google play music yet?

dookiewater

No ATV, Google being Google.

iamrussianeagle

Any chance to try it w/o credit card?

Those of you looking to share with "family", note that it can only be streamed on three devices at once. Which absolutely sucks.

5 areas? They're really struggling to compete with others like PS Vue..
