I don't know about you guys but mine did this since the day the MiBox came out. If the light is off on the box, you can't cast. I eventually stopped turning off the box. How much power could it possibly be using
Is this something that can be fixed with a software update? Hope so!
I have a similar issue. When trying to cast from Google Home, it even confirms that everything is good by saying "OK, playing 'blah' on TV", but nothing actually happens.

Just a question....But is it really worth putting to sleep anyway. The power draw can't be much.
Yes, it's frustrating. All other boxes including Chromecast keeps the cast receiver active in the background.
