by Betrayedof52

IS there somewhere with a guide to install someones pre setup KODI. like I seen someone have one called the royalist on youtube.. it looked crisp. IS there a guide to install KODI and all the stuff I need in kodi like Exodus etc... and maybe a theme?

Sorry im kinda noob.

As already said, use YouTube. Kodi has a fairly steep learning curve and not new user friendly. If you do it step by step via YouTube then you will get general feeling on how to add add-ons and where some key menus are.

With all that, you will start to get a feel for it. You'll start to add things, delete things, play with skins, modify skins, etc.

I'm no expert, but that was how I got more comfortable in that horribly unfriendly UI... to a point where it isn't that unfriendly to me.

As for videos, I have no must see. I just searched for Kodi install videos and looked at many of the related videos. Those related videos sometimes mentioned an add-on, or show one, and I would Google that add-on and those sites mentioned other add-ons to try.

Edit: MChanga on YouTube is VERY good on tutorials. Search MChanga Kodi. I don't know her, but she is excellent.

Try installing it on your PC first. It's MUCH easier to learn and configure with a keyboard and mouse, and with easy access to your file system.

Once you've got the hang of the skins/UI and what it can do for you, just install it on your Mi Box from the Play Store. If you want to install a bunch of add-ons like Exodus, you'll also need Solid Explorer or something to get into your file system on the Mi Box.

When I just got my Mibox, I was overwhelmed with kodi too... My suggestion is to download a Kodi build like Kodi No Limits, which has a buttload of addons wrapped in (you'll find a Youtube tutorial on how to install). Be sure to have SPMC instead of Kodi from Google store (better fork for Mibox), so you'll want to use the 16 (not 17) version of nolimits. Play with it a while, and see which addons you use. After a month or so, start over and install just what you like.
