Upgrade to 7.0 is irreversible. No chance for recovery back to 6.0.
Just loaded this up, the Plex app is now completely unusable with direct play, some video work and others don't unless you force transcoding. I suspect it's due to Plex's old version of ExoPlayer.
Can you use HDTV tuners for live TV OTA?
100% waiting for the official ota stable version, however i guess its cool to get some more information out in the wild.
what version nougat is it? 7...7.1?
If i recall correctly, usb tuners/pip are in +7.1 and not 7.0
If I sideload this, will I still receive the official OTA without issue? Really want to try my Xbox tuner...If that's even working.

Updated, seems to be working well, but I'm not doing anything fancy with passthrough audio, HDR, HDCP, 4k or any of that.
Chromecast is better, but still not as well defined as a real chromecast. I'm judging mainly by the set-up options in Google Home. I can now adjust the backdrop settings (nature pics annoy me), and it seems to respect that about 90% of the time. I'm still getting some ugly nature pics listed as sourced from "Google+" and can't seem to turn them off... I don't really cast much content from my phone (thats why I got a Mi Box instead of a chromecast...), so I can't comment on if thats working better.
The settings menus being set up as menus rather than icons is really nice. For me, thats worth the cost of admission.
I had some trouble triggering recovery mode, but I just kept trying and eventually got the timing right, I suppose.
Also had some trouble syncing the factory remote at first, but again I just kept trying and it eventually worked. I think the part about (removing and) putting the batteries in may be mandatory? Whatever the case, I thought I was screwed, but then it just worked. Keep trying if you're having issues, there's no trick to it.
Is the actual and working "recents" on double tap of home new? I never noticed that before, and I have been looking for it. I managed to get a non-working recents up occasionally on the old update, but it was unreliable and didn't really work. Possible I just never noticed the double tap command before... If this is new, its huge for me. If it's old, I guess I'm just an idiot.
Overall, this is legit, it didn't brick my device, and I'm enjoying it.
Did anyone who installed this test Amazon yet? Does it actually play movies after being installed on this build & if so, which version did you use?
EDIT: Amazon Underground installs fine, so does Prime Video from your Phone & the first Shield TV APK (can't locate the latest one in my Pro..?).. both attempt to play, but the Prime one crashes & continues to play until you press a button & the Shield one just gives the usual Sony looking error message without ever playing. Still plays just fine logging in via Chrome like on PC.
well, just updated and HDCP is still unprotected.. sigh..
