Hello-
I havent used HBO Go for a while on my Mi Box (walmart version) and now it wont work. It used to work, however. I activated my cable account and the menus work fine but an error pops up anytime i try and play any shows. I've restarted the box and have checked to make sure the app is up to date. Everything else (netflix, SPMC,etc) work fine. Any ideas? Thanks!
It's never worked for me. I can login and browse content, but can't watch anything
I haven't been able to get it to work either. I have had it installed since day one, when the Mi Box was released, hoping that it would work one day. For now I just use my Roku.
not working even with newest Nougat beta update, this is clearly HBO Go application problem and their lack of support, sadly

Instead of the Android TV version have you tried the standard Android version? I use it on my Shield to get around the Xfinity login issue. Only thing is you have to navigate with a mouse, otherwise it works fine. DD5.1+, 1080p, etc.
You can load it directly through the Play store on Chrome on the MiBox. That way it pushes updates automatically.
This is one the reasons I moved my mi box to the bedroom and bought an Nvidia shield TV for my living room. Hopefully when nougat Comes out it, they start supporting I.

HBO has said it is not supported on that hardware. It will work on the shield or Nexus player and other Android devices.
