My kids constantly losing Shield's remote in the couch. This never happens with the Roku remote I think because it has more bulk to it. Sideclick just started shipping Mi Box Remote version and I'm wondering how close they are to a Shield remote.

It's a nice remote...that doesn't work with the SHIELD at all. Trust me, i tried.
I had the same issue with my wife/kids losing the remote for pretty much everything, bought a harmony hub and that was the best decision I made, they still lose the remote all the time, but now I can control everything with my cell phone!
What's this about the Mi Box remote shipping separately? My dog recently chewed mine up and while it still works, the buttons don't feel as good anymore.
