yes it currently works, go into your GOOGLE HOME app and check your devices list and you should see the MIBOX there. You can change the name of the MIBOX in the MIBOX settings and give it whatever name you would like to use for google assistant
Link it up with the app and I am able to voice control it
Yes, the mi box was specifically mentioned in the announcement in January. https://blog.google/products/assistant/coming-soon-google-assistant-android-tv-and-more/ However Google Assistant has not been released yet. I am hoping that Google will announce something at Google I/O (May 17th).
