MXPlayer on the nVidia Shield TV

Just go my first Android TV box and have a few questions on MXPlayer:

  1. Does MXPlayer support auto refresh rate switching like Kodi does?
  2. What settings do I need to adjust for best performance? Also do I need to install one of those codes from the playstore?

A little off topic, but why would you use MXPlayer instead of Kodi or VLC?

Actually I'm not aware of these video frame rate.. Will there difference in video if frame rate changes.. I always keep 1080p@60 hz.. I dont have 4k TV.. So, I would like to. Know more how the refresh rate effects viewing..

Try VLC as well; I find it more polished and capable than MXPlayer on ATV (and I'm a long time MX guy on my phone/tablet)
