Problem with Netflix through Mi Box

by JvLady

Hey everyone, I know multiple posts have been upon this subject but I've found no fix. Netflix will play for 1-10 seconds then stop and say "Were having trouble playing this title right now..." Error code:  tvq-pm-100 (5.2.5). PS. It does not appear to be a network issue because it plays Kodi with no issues, as well as Netflix plays on other devices. I am stuck. Has anyone found an update or fix? Thanks everyone!

Update TV Firmware

Make sure Mi Box Firmware is up to date - Android settings > About....

Plug Mi Box directly into TV

Remove any VPN's and Smart DNS services in use

And DRM Info App - you need HDCP Supported.

I bought my first Mi Box through Walmart and it had the issue. I ordered one through xiaomi and it works great. Its the box itself.

Its a common issue.

Out of curiosity, check the "DRM Info" app from the play store.

Launch the app, and expand the "Widevine DRM" thing. I wonder if it says HDCP unsupported?

I've noticed that with all but one display, I get unsupported, and Netflix only works on the one which does not say unsupported, but rather the correct HDCP version.

This is a issue with your Mi Box and not your tv hardware. I purchased my first Mi Box through GearBest.com (China reseller) and Netflix did not work. I tried everything to get it working, no luck. I sold the box and got a new one, this one works as expected.

The only thing that fixed this issue for me was to uninstall and reinstall the Netflix app. Once I did that, no more issues.

Just wanted to give my 2 cents. Had a TV that did not support hdcp (5.2.5). Bought an HDMI splitter, now hdcp compliant Netflix works again. The splitter I bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004F9LVXC/ref=mp_s_a_1 _

Good luck
