Switching from an Atv4 to a shield for the game streaming and while, I love it a lot, however I do miss airplay with my iPhone. So, is there an airplay app that is happy to run in the background that I dont have to launch each time I want to use airplay?
I use AirPlay/DLNA Receiver (PRO) ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr2 ). It's not free, but it's cheap enough that I gave it a shot. It's worked very well for me.
What do you use airplay for? Music?
I know Kodi supports air play for music
AirPlay video is DRM protected by Apple so as far as I know there's no apps that can do screen mirroring. Just music.
Not sure if this is on the Android TV Playstore or has to be sideloaded. Try the Playstore from a Web browser.
