Mibox no netflix volume control

Have a mibox with latest updates . In the past most Netflix shows I could control volume with mibox remote and the odd one would not work, ever since the latest mibox update volume control does not work at all in Netflix turning it down or up from mibox remote shows the volume level but does not increase or decrease the volume.

Sound setting in mibox is set to auto HDMI passthru any idea?

I tried setting digital sound setting to auto pcm and HDMI and didn't change anything

I have a Denon avr 1713 with latest firmware updates connected to mibox via HDMI

Some content on netflix come with a non Dolby/DTS soundtrack, those will have volume control work. For content w/ Dolby/DTS they will be passed to the AVR.

HDMI CeC "might" work but it's not guaranteed as every company has issues implementing it.

You can't change volume levels on digital audio. Only when it's converted to analog can you change levels. Which is why you can change it on your receiver when playing something in 5.1 DD/DTS. The volume is changed after it's processed before it goes out to your speakers.

Yeah, volume control does not work when passing trough like dolbydigital or dts or probably pcm too
