I bought an hdhomerun connect, Hooked it up to antenna, and Ethernet to router, ran windows app to scan channels and apply config, then tried to use shield TV hdhomerun app but it keeps saying no devices found. What gives?

I had that happen on my Android tv. When the tv was on the Ethernet with the WiFi disabled it will not find the hdhomerun but when I used WiFi it found the hdhomerun. Now it will find the hdhomerun over Ethernet if I don't disable WiFi.
Try the beta app from the HDHomerun forums. It is the one with the gray icon. I have an connect and wired gig connections to my 4 mi boxes. They all work wonderfully.
Install the beta HDHomeRun App, then it will show up as a channel source in Live Channels.

Had a similar problem with my tv, and support was completely useless. Install the Kodi app, then install the HDhomerun app within Kodi, and it might work for you -- that's what I do.
Open up Live Channels, is it seen as a source there? If not you likely have a network issue.
