C'mon Nvidia - Let's get a timeline here. I'd like to invest deeper into the Assistant ecosystem, but I don't want a 110$ Google Home in my living room when you supposedly have an option in the pipeline.... NVidia Spots all over the place to integrate into my Smarthome cheaply and easily!
The last FCC filling for an Nvidia device was for the Jetson TX2 back in January . There's typically at least a 2 months delay between the filling and the release to market. I don't think they are even ready to commit to a timeline for the Spot.
It's kinda pointless without Google Assistant. Which they said is coming with the Android O update in "late summer".
This is squarely on google and the fact that assistant is on iphone now but no Android tv seals the deal for me i can get 3 echo dots for the price of 1 google home
They can't release it until Google Assistant is available on the Shield. So giving a timeline would just mean nVidia would get a bunch of grief if Google misses the deadline.
