Harmony Hub + Mi Box = IR Lag Gone?

by SodaBaconWeed

Just wondering if using a harmony hub will mitigate lag from ir on a harmony remote with the mi box? I'm guessing the ir signal from remote gets sent to the hub and then to the mi box through Bluetooth. Right now my harmony remote(no hub) sends ir signals to mi box and has lag and sometimes misses input.

I have the Hub and have it setup with a Mi Box via IR. Both the Hub and Mi Box are beside each other but in a different room than the TV. I don't notice much of a lag, it is slightly less snappy than the original Mi Box remote. I have not tried to pair the Hub to Mi Box via Bluetooth, though I have heard you can if you add it as a Nexus Player in your Harmony setup. I haven't found the lag great enough for me to bother with that right now.

Yes, the hub eliminates lag as long as you pair it as the Nvidia shield, which will use Bluetooth. The mi box config will only use ir. This works for the Nexus player too.
