App with menu to connect bluetooth device?

I recently connected my bluetooth headphones to my shield and watched a movie, it worked great! However I still have them paired to my phone and to my dismay I found the only option for bluetooth devices is unpair, do I have to pair my bluetooth headphones to my android tv every single time I want to use them?

Surly theres an app that initiates bluetooth connection?

Also is there a way to filter apps on play store so it only shows apps comparable with my android tv?

Slightly cumbersome but less so, the headphones should be paired to both devices and just connecting to the first one it finds, so if you toggle the Bluetooth off on your phone when you turn the headphones on it should connect to the TV

I've had this exact same issue. Only thing I've seen is a paid app, but I'm not sure of it's even useful. Would love to hear some suggestions as well.
