My neighbor's Bluetooth device keeps trying to pair w/ my TV (interrupting what I'm watching)

by sivadneb

I keep getting a popup that asks me to enter the pin for a "Blue Station HD2". After searching for that text, I came up with this user manual for a bluetooth stereo tranceiver. I don't own this device, so I'm assuming its one of my neighbors' (I live in an apartment). It's annoying because this will pop up several times in the time span of an hour or two, and the dialog completely exits whatever I'm watching (whether YouTube, HBO, Netflix, etc). Is there a way to stop this from happening? I thought about disabling Bluetooth, but then my remote wouldn't work.

Connect to it and send loud annoying music through it.

battierpeeler

the pin is usually 0000. connect to it and stream whatever you want until they disconnect it

You should be able to go into the settings and disable your device to be in scan mode, so that it's not always scanning for a Bluetooth pairing. You can also rename your device to something else, maybe he is getting confused as to what device is what

CuvisTheConqueror

Change the name of your device. It's possible your neighbor has the same model and is getting confused about pairing it.

What you want to do is turn off Bluetooth visibility.

Apparently, it seems to be a missing feature on Android TV.

Turn bluetooth off?
