[Mi Box]How to see HDCP connectivity

by pseudoheld

Like many other people I am having issues with netflix (4k)
My TV supports HDCP 2.2 and I have my Mi Box directly hooked up with a cable thats also capable.
I have the output set to 4k60hz and everything works fine.
Youtube plays 4k Videos without an issue.
However netflix reverts to 1080p and only 2.0 audio. Not 5.1 and not 4k.

Is there any way I can see if HDCP 2.2 is working correctly? I've looked around in the settings and the settings of my TV (Philips 43PUK7100) but I can't find the Info anywhere...

All help appreciated!

EDIT:
I installed this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidfung.drminfo&rdid=com.androidfung.drminfo
And it tells me the max HDCP level is 1.x which is strange as the cable and the TV specs say it supports HDCP 2.2

Edit 2:
So this morning I turned on the box just to check and wtf hdcp 2.2 is working...
I changed NOTHING. same cable same port same everything.
So now 4k is working HOWEVER I still don't have 5.1 sound from netflix. Plex and kodi work fine with 5.1

I had this and issue with Netflix too where it would always crash after 20 seconds. Does yours work part 20 seconds.

Make sure you're using the correct HDMI port on your TV.

The majority of people who are having 4K issues with Netflix are impacted by one or more of the following issues that have nothing to do with their MiBox:

Do you have sufficient bandwidth to support 4K from Netflix?

Do you have the correct subscription level on your Netflix acct?

Do you have a piece of A/V equipment between your MiBox and TV? *

If so, remove it from the chain and run drminfo while MiBox is connected directly to your TV, see if values change.

You will be able to definitively pinpoint your issue
