CenturyLink will soon release an Android TV STB

Well, I know it's considered a shitty provider in the US, but this is what I found. It's not much but I still think it's cool to see a provider using Android TV in the US.

... or maybe I'm all wrong ?

The more Android TV devices the merrier. Hope Roku rots in hell.

Hey, I love CenturyLink. In my area I get 50 down 5 up for $40/month. Hard to beat that.

No offense but how does CLI on there of the model # prove it's CenturyLink?

Fuck CenturyLink. Their CSRs will lie and cheat to get you to stay and next thing you know your bill is 2x as much and your in a new contract. There as bad as Comcast imo.

I would warn that U S West/Qwest/Centurylink have a history of doing beta tests for STBs that never go anywhere. I worked on one for Qwest back in the day that never saw the light of day.

Best case is they team up with DirectTV Now with co-located equipment or network links to make sure it scales for prime time viewing.
