Greetings good people, I was wondering whether there is a way to backup the Mibox ( apps, settings and data) without rooting the box? I contacted Xiaomi support and was told that the MiBox does not backup capability. Following online research, it seems like I would be able to to a backup using the Helium backup app. Any other suggestions will be appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
If you need to specifically backup something like app settings or data for a game that doesn't use Play Game's cloud services, then Helium should do the trick. The Play Store remembers which apps you have installed on your Mi Box.
Technically anything that's of value should have a backup somewhere without user intervention. If the devs are worth a damn, at least.
