Mouse or mouse-like device for Mi Box?

by Tovrin

I've managed to sideload a few apps onto my Mi Box (from my phone) and have used HALauncher to force landscape mode. Most come up just fine (including Amazon Prime!), but the the remote doesn't double as a touch mechanism to choose things on the screen; clearly i still need something that doubles as a touch-screen mechanism.

Does anyone know if you can plug in a mouse into a Mi Box or is there an app to help use the remote as a mouse-like device?

Really happy with this, personally. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015O5UM6M

My first "air mouse" and they work a lot better than I thought they would.

For some reason all remotes that have air mouse ability seem to use a tiny 2.4ghz wireless receiver that takes up a USB slot instead of using bluetooth, so I also bought a 4 port USB 3.0 hub for like 8 dollars that I'm pretty happy with too.

There's an app called MouseToggle which emulates a mouse cursor. Not very convenient, but good enough if you only need the cursor for technical bits.

I actually have a logitech mouse with dongle attached to my mi box. But you can download Cetus Play TV remote Server in your Mi Box playstore and download the CetusPlay,Android TV Remote in your phone. There's a mouse mode that you can use. I use it with my tablet to control the Mi box.

you have several options: wireless mouse w/dongle, wired mouse, BT mouse w/no dongle. all 3 work.
